Flat Rock Playhouse X marks the spot with Robert Luis Stevenson’s classic tale of pirates, treasure maps, mutiny and excitement. When young Jim Hawkins befriends an old pirate named Billy Bones, he begins a journey that lands him on a ship with a very shady crew. Come along on this dangerous race for buried treasure against a one-legged scoundrel named Long John Silver in this thrilling adaptation of the beloved adventure story.

History of the Pisgah National Forest

The beginnings of the Pisgah National Forest occurred when George Vanderbilt, the grandson of railroad baron, Cornelius Vanderbilt, assembled property around his growing estate at the confluence of the Swannanoa and French Broad Rivers in western North Carolina. As he added to his 125,000 acre estate, one of the acquisitions included Mt. Pisgah.
